M&S shoppers convinced store’s Harry Potter chocolate wand looks ‘very wrong’

Marks & Spencer has unveiled a new Harry Potter chocolate treat range in time for Christmas – but one item has caused a few shoppers to double take.

The magical selection includes a hollow sorting hat, golden snitch, and even chocolate frogs – a favourite among those attending Hogwarts.

There’s also a Harry Potter Forbidden Forest Quiz Advent Calendar costing £12 and available for delivery next month, with the range being shared on Facebook by one of the store’s employees.

Posting to the Extreme Coupon and Bargains UK Group Facebook group, she wrote: “They should be available in your local Marks & Spencer. They came out in the store I work in today.”

And although the new releases racked up plenty of comments from excited Harry Potter fans, others had questions about the £5 chocolate wand which has hit the shelves, as reported by The Sun.

With the box showing a picture of the wand on the outside, one commented: “Am I the only one who thinks it looks like a sex toy?”

A second replied: “Ohhhh myyyy haha.”

Another asked: “Am I the only one who thinks the wand looks very wrong?”

Someone else added: “Chocolate wand. More like…”

Marks & Spencer has revealed more 60 items on its festive food offering for Christmas, including ‘chip shop style’ battered mini sausages with curry dip, a cheese fondue pot and chicken doughnut dippers.

And, of course, everyone’s favourite Colin the Caterpillar cake has gone all seasonal with a makeover, donning a festive Santa hat and edible decorations.

A moreish chocolate sponge roll filled with chocolate buttercream and smothered in delicious milk chocolate will be in stores from December 19, costing £10.
